Voicings

Play full voicings from single keys and switch chords live from your controller's drum pads. Scale snapping keeps everything in key, and with hold mode on, chords sound only while a pad is down, so you can weave single-note melodies between chord stabs without bypassing anything.

The Voicings interface
What it does MT-01
  • 01 Eight pads pick the active voicing; every key then plays it, rooted where you play
  • 02 Key and scale snapping keeps the output diatonic
  • 03 Hold mode: latch a pad, or play chords only while one is held
  • 04 Reference-counted note handling, so overlapping chords release cleanly
  • 05 CCs, pitch bend and unrelated channels pass through untouched
  • 06 Every control is a host parameter, and pad maps save as controller profiles
The idea

Voicings exists for the moment a sketch wants to become a song. Hold one key and hear the whole chord, switch the voicing from a pad without stopping, and stay in key the entire time, so the idea keeps moving while your hands stay simple.

It is built like an instrument, not a utility: pads feel like stops on an organ, hold mode lets chords ring only while you mean them, and everything else your controller sends passes through untouched. Map it once, save the profile, and it plays the same in every session.
